CAUDLE, GREEN posted by Betty Kehl Richardson on Friday, September 30, 2005

This is a correction to my recent query regarding Elizabeth Green who married Joshua Caudle (the son of Jesse Caudle). i said they married in 1870 which is not correct. I don't have a marriage date. Joshua was born in 1770 chatham Co. NC and died 1850 Wayne Co. Illinois. He did marry Eliz. Green who was b. 1780 and died Dec. 11, 1837 in Macoupin Co. Illinois and is buried in Panther Creek cemetery in Scottville Township of Macoupin Co. Illinois. Joshua and his father Jesse moved their families from NC. to Maury/Marshall Co. Tn and Joshua was decon of the Shiloh (Rock Creek) Baptist Church near Lewisburg in Maury Co. Tn for several years. Land records show Joshua and sons Thomas, john, and Isham bought land in Macoupin Co. Illinois in 1834-1836 and Samual, Isham and Sion (son of John) bought land in Wayne Co. Illinois. I have the names of 8 children of Joshua Caudle. Would love to find out who Elizabeth Green's parents were and her siblings as well.
