resided around the North Otter Township....
Alexander and Sarah Jenkins Bettis of South Otter Township, Macoupin Co
IL. Resided in the area for about 40 years......1860-1900.
Alexander was born Nov. 21, 1840, d. Mar 24, 1923, buried Mt. Calm Cem.,
Viola, Arkansas, son of David and Catherine Schott(s) Bettis. His wife,
Sarah Margaret Jenkins was born Dec. 16, 1847 to Nicholas and Mary E. Murphy
Jenkins, died Feb 17, 1938, also buried Viola, Ark. Alexander and Sarah
Margaret were married on Feb. 5, 1863, in Macoupin Co, IL at the home of
her parents.
